What annoys you the most about today’s pop culture?
The music. Shouting is not music, it’s just shouting.
Did you have a sweetheart when you were young ? ( 14-18 ) And if so, who was he/she and just everything about it :)
I had a beau when I was 17 years old. My parents hated him because he was an Irish kid. He was dopey looking and had big ears. He was very sweet and funny and a gentleman. My mother said it would not work out and I married him and had four children.
General life advice? Looking for the golden nuggets
Now go read the rest.Don’t take things too seriously when you’re young. Think “Am I going to care about this when I am 96?” You probably won’t.

So I read this mystery that’s a ghost-written marketing tie-in to a show about a guy who writes mysteries. And I wrote an 800-word review of it, and I still don’t think I even came close to describing all the weird shit I found happening inside the book. I compare it to Ulysses, if that helps frame things.
I went to read this review thinking, Oh cool, someone smart wrote a review of a book I’m curious about but probably don’t want to read. Then I got to this:
BECAUSE! AND THEN! There’s this blink and miss it part towards the end where Jameson Rook goes off to do some investigating in the company of Detectives Malcolm and Reynolds. And that was when I completely lost my shit. FIVE STARS. THIS AUTHOR KNOWS THEIR AUDIENCE.
…aaand now I want to read the book.
Same here. I’m a fan of the show, and thought it was awesome that they’ve written a book by “Richard Castle,” but I figured it wouldn’t be all that good. I need to pick it up now.
