Correction: Because of a reporting error, Dr. Arleigh Dygert Richardson III, former teacher at Lawrence Academy in Groton, was described in his obituary yesterday as favoring tackypants with tweed jackets and Oxford shirts. Dr. Richardson favored khaki pants.

It’s my birthday today and I’m watching your birthday, a present from
my wife. I’m newly 41, solidly into a new decade, old enough to think
“already? again?” instead of “Yay! Cake!”. This year, perhaps for the
first time since I was 14, I’m having a good birthday.

The Tobolowsky Files is easily one the best podcasts that I regularly listen to. This letter from a fan of the podcast (and Mr. Tobolowsky’s film that inspired the podcast) is such a wonderful bit of personal narrative.
